Shapes Doing Things
Exhibition Opening at Dugattyús
Linda Bodolóczki’s exhibition Shapes Doing Things opens at Dugattyús on 14 May at 7 PM. The evening brings together painting, performance, flamenco and jazz guitar.
You are warmly invited to the opening of Linda Bodolóczki’s exhibition Shapes Doing Things at Dugattyús on 14 May at 7 PM.
Linda’s work focuses on the interaction of colors, the energy of contrasts and the collision of different painterly qualities. Her paintings are vivid, vibrant, structured and instinctive at once: geometric order, gesture, dripping paint and fractured forms meet within the same pictorial space.
The exhibition presents works from two series. In Linda’s most recent paintings, the circle takes center stage: airy, concentric compositions are interrupted by lines moving in different directions, paint drips and shard-like forms. Her earlier Butterfly Effect series explores the tension between planned and spontaneous painterly gestures through fractal-like compositions.
The exhibition will be opened by visual artist Ákos Bánki. The opening evening will also feature a performance inspired by Linda’s paintings, presented by flamenco dancer Petra Böröcz and jazz guitarist Tibor Riskó.
Curator: Gabriella Bán.
The exhibition is on view from 14 May to 29 May during the opening hours of Dugattyús.
